Jen is an experienced marketer, communicator, story teller and entrepreneur. She worked in communications with the Government of Canada for 14 years, the majority of time in Iqaluit, Nunavut. In 2012, she joined Outcrop Communications and acquired the company from its founders in 2017.  She currently splits her time between all three offices in Whitehorse, Yellowknife and Iqaluit.

Jen has a Bachelor of Public Relations and Certificate of Marketing from Mount Saint Vincent and Masters of Business Administration from University of Fredericton. In addition to work, she is an avid volunteer. She was one of the founding members and longtime volunteer of the Niqinik Nuatsivik Nunavut Food Bank. She is passionate about community development and has served as Vice-President of the Baffin Regional Chamber of Commerce. She was recognized for her volunteer efforts by Governor General David Johnson in 2017 who awarded her a Caring Canadian Medal.

Jen’s clients enjoy working with her because she gets passionate about their work and their stories. She is a creative problem solver and loves telling the story of the amazing work being done in the North, by Northerners. Her clients cover the gamut from tourism destinations to mining companies to airlines to small businesses and government organizations. She is most proud of the branding work she led for Destination Nunavut, Arctic Bay Adventures Tourism and REACH and her work with the Nunavut Development Corporation. 

She is also a mom to two fierce little girls, Maren (11) and Molly (8) and is married to Allen, who all reside in Iqaluit.
